Mental Health and Resilience Training for Managers and HR Professionals

As an occupational health professional, I am acutely aware that mental health is often a difficult subject for managers to approach in the workplace. The world of work has changed, and managing people is perhaps as tough as it has ever been.

Employers are facing issues of financial uncertainty, redundancies, navigating new working practices, juggling staff working from home and in work premises, and increased pressure and stress from increased demand for products and services.

With an increasing responsibility and expectation upon employers and those in leadership positions to look after their employees welfare, it is no surprise that our Mental Health for Managers workshop is currently in such high demand.

Our training sessions, delivered by our expert clinical team, offer expert advice and guidance, and help to provide solutions to manage health and wellbeing at a strategic level.

Mental Health for Managers Training

Over the next few weeks we will be presenting our ‘Managers Guide to Mental health at Work’ to a number of clients, across different sectors. The aims of this workshop are:

  1. To inform and educate managers and leaders about mental health difficulties.

  2. To enable and support employers to make positive changes relating to the wellbeing of their staff.

We keep the sessions as interactive as possible, using video conferencing technology as creatively as we can. So far this format has led to some very engaging and enlightening discussions amongst the participants in the workshops.

I have worked in occupational health for 8 years, and in this time I have noticed a marked increase in the understanding of mental health amongst leaders and managers.

It has been great to be part of the discourse, and with more workshops being booked each week, I am looking forward to the opportunity to talk to managers, and to hear their ideas and strategies as to how we can all improve wellbeing in the workplace.
